Your tongue print is as unique as your fingerprint
Every human tongue has a unique shape, texture, and pattern of bumps (papillae) that is distinctive enough to function as a biometric identifier — unique to each individual, including identical twins. Researchers have proposed tongue geometry as an alternative biometric for identification, noting that unlike fingerprints, tongues are difficult to forge (being internal) and don't change significantly with age. The tongue also has unique patterns of taste buds and blood vessel distributions.
We're vaguely aware that fingerprints are unique, but the idea that an internal, rarely-examined organ also has a one-of-a-kind pattern makes identity feel written into every layer of the body.
